My slow xp machine is showing;

Team Number:
13790

Finished WUs:
none

Working on:
Amber
Amber core

Frames completed:
0/2000
timing estimated
44/2000 (estimate)

WU end:
15:07 Wed 20 Apr 05
40d:17h:38m:41s

My question is;
should the frames completed show 0/2000 when 44/2000 (estimate) is also showing?

BTW: hope your upload goes well Rip.

no i dont think so, also the days to complete are way to high, the deadlines are usually under 40 days any ways. I advise to uninstall and reinstall the program. Iv had issues with the software totally going crazy and a new copy always fixes it.

I think you're fine Bob, though it does look weird. Below "timing estimated" I have "next frame ends" and the time. :confused

Frames completed:
0/2000
timing estimated
44/2000 (estimate)

when it says:

timing estimated
44/2000 (estimate)

that means that when the program gets to frame 44 of 2000, it will give you an estimate when the next frame will be done. it will switch back and forth between (estimate) and how long till the next frame is done until the WU is finished. my question is, is this on your slower machine?

Thanks for the info, makes me feel better. I thought it was loosing frames.. :embarrassed:

The slower machine is a pentium II 233Mhz and 128 MB of RAM running winxp home and is operating as an internet server.

It now shows:

Working on:
p1802_Collagen_POG10_
Frames completed:
19/2000
41m:34s/frame
26/2000 (estimate)
WU End:
00:35 Mon 9 May 05
56d: 23h:27m:15s

Looks like I have a long wait... :-x

The other machine is a 1 GIG Athlon with 512 MB memory. It is my workstation at home. It complete 1 WU today with a score of 69....
I'm on the list.....Yea! ^*^

My laptop, running win98, has stalled at 2%, has been there for more than two days,
how can I stop the WU and as for another?

The program seems to be running, and the graphics are showing on the screen, and the cpu usage is peaking about 75%-100%. Is it probable that it is working and not showing the actual amount of work done?

Also, anyone used EM to monitor your systems? would like a realistic report of its usefullnes...and can I monitor the laptop's realtime work with it?

Thanks in advance for any replies to so many questions.

PS. Nice website Mark

Thanks :yesnod:

my installing this on all the computers at work has paid off as over the weekend, i got 5 WU from them. I now have it on my mom's computer at home and hopefullly it will keep running here at work without people shutting it off. I just want to know how people get the high scoring WUs like rippinchikkin got as he has 4 or 5 done and has a higher score than i do with 9 or 10.

LETS GET FOLDING PEOPLE, (said in loud Richard Simmons voice)
We need more team members, and every one of us that participates should be pestering all those that are not involved to get in. And we, as non-pushy like as possible should be propositioning all the new members to join our folding team.

I currently have it running on 2 pc's. I would put it on some lab systems at work but the nosy boss may question it.

it's running on at least 3 computers at work right now, along with my computer and my mom's computer. they don't all run to fast, but they get the stuff done eventually.

OK, well I found the trick. I had to hit the enter key before the screen disappeared and then it would start the install. Funny how that one works. Ohh well, I got it working. Now I am on the team and this thing will be running 24 - 7 practically!!!
