Dual Boot Pro does not work in WinXP?
I have Dual Boot Pro running on Windows 7 and Windows Vista, but it will not run in Windows XP, all three OSes being on the same computer. The info on DBP said it will work on WinXP, but will it really? I paid a second time for the license to install on WinXP, but do I need more than one license when all the OSes are on one machine?
Re: Dual Boot Pro does not work in WinXP?
You need to be more specific when you say it doesn't work with your Windows XP
in what order did you install the XP and the other OSes
when you did your installs did you unplug any drives during any of the installs
were all the OSes installed for this machine, and not a drive taken from another machine with an OS already installed on it etc
We need more info in order to resolve your issue

Re: Dual Boot Pro does not work in WinXP?
Thanks - tricky stuff, but still something fun to do. I originally installed Win 7 first, then Win Vista, then copied the original Win7 to a solid state drive (amazingly fast loading now), then finally installed Win XP to play a silly legacy game. All the drives are internal ones in my machine. 2 days ago, Win7 on the SS drive became hopelessly corrupted, so I did a re-copy from the Win7 IDE drive back onto the SS drive, using a utility called Paragon Solid State something. That's the only way I could possibly do it. I have also been re-arranging hard drive ordering in BIOS - a lot, trying to get it to match the Bios Boot Selection (BBS) which my BIOS has in it. I have also had to use the original Win7 install disk to restore the boot files information - several times. I am able to manipulate almost all of playing around with the boot/BCD arrangements, but for some reason the Dual Boot selection screen will not boot into WinXP now, although it had been working fine for about six months prior. Another issue I would like more information on: could you direct me to a forum article about how to do a 100% clean un-install of Dual Boot Pro?
