How many Hard Drives will My Mobo support?
Hi Guys
My MoBo is an Asus P5N-MX.
From the page below it appears that I have 4 SATA connections.
Does that mean that I can have 4 x HD's?
Or are there some other limiters?
I run W7

You should be able to fit four hard drives without any problems, provided you have four hard drive bays in which to locate them of course
I find it best to always keep ones main HDD plugged in to SATA 1 and not to change that and then to make sure that the first boot HDD is the one plugged into SATA 1.

Thanks for that.
Wasn't sure if CPU or RAM could hold me back. Although both are good spec.
I well remember how I chuckled when hearing people say get the biggest HD you can and get many.
They seem to fill up on their own.

Yeah, it's incredible how much stuff we collect and music, videos and other things can take up a lot of space. Personally I prefer to cut and paste those things over to external USB hard disk drives every now and then but that's just a personal preference

TBH I had a USB external HD but a phone engineer accidentally unplugged it whilst it was beavering away.
It stopped working so I installed it as an internal and it worked.
Don't know if that is a tip or not, I read it somewhere and gave it a go. It was an iomega 500.
So i'll keep it all in one box now.
