First of all, I have never done an e-commerce site before. All the sites I've made, has been in photoshop, and I let it do the main coding, and then I tweak what needs tweaking. Some has asked me to do a site, but here is what they said.

I need a basic e-commerce web site tossed together.

Nothing fancy, just something where someone can purchase a subscription for a set time period and have password protected access until their subscription time expires.

I have not figured out exactly how it's all going to work in the end, but here's my thoughts.

I want them to be able to go to my site, sign up with a subscription, pay online via Paypal (that's easy to do) and then set up their own user id and password. Once their subscription time period has expired (was thinking of a 24 hour, one month, 6 month and 1 year selection) they will not be able to log back in until they pay again.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do what he's wanting? Or the easist way to go about doing it?
