need a dazzle power cord

Postby Xstream » Mon Jul 24, 2006 7:24 pm

A friend gave me a Dazzle DVC 150 because he lost the power cord. It says on the back 5v 2.8A
Anyone know a good place to get a cord for it?

it may be possible to get the power output you need from a universal power supply that converts the input to whatever you may need as an output. They sell them at wal-mart and I would assume radio shack as well. Not sure if it would work, but it's a possibility.

I remember buying an adapter from RS with the multi-headed connector to power my wireless headphone transmitter. Works like a charm though it's not a universal, the volts are the same but the available amps is somewhat higher. Decent price too.

If it's any help, that's the exact same voltage as a Netgear WGU624 router. It may be easier to find that one and splice your old connecter to the new supply.

If it's practical and possible, you can always route a new line from your PSU and do as Bell1 suggested. Just make sure of the polarities though I think they have diodes in there for that though I'm not sure.

Jim, let me look in the bin at work...I may have one...I've got just about everything in the way of "wall warts"!! I'll get back to you tomorrow...I'm at home now.
