Windows 7 Build 7106

Windows 7 Build 7106

Got a new Build, Build 7106, it is in the Chinese language but there is an easy fix included in some of the downloads.

I found one of those builds and am currently testing it on my test laptop.

There is a file included with the one I downloaded called "lang" which you run after install, that changes or adds setting to the registry that I guess make it possible to change the language.

I installed the OS and ran the lang file which takes about a second.

After I ran the file I went in and changed some of the settings for the keyboard, because it showed the keyboard taskbar to toggle between Chinese and English.

I also uninstalled the Chinese language, under Regional and Language settings, but it made it where I had to use the Task Manager to close some windows so, I deleted everything and installed Windows 7 Build 7106 again
this time I just changed all the settings to English, the Location to U.S. Formats to United States etc. and did not uninstall the Chinese Language.

Under the Administrative tab, be sure to place a check in the Welcome Screen and system accounts, and new user accounts and then click ok to save

Yes I like it so far and yes it has some really cool wallpapers of scenes in China :yesnod:

I would download it just for the wallpapers  , it only took 1 hr and 7 minutes which to me was blazing for a 2.5 GB file

The second install took as long as the first, because to make sure I deleted the partitions and created new ones and formatted again, just like I did the first time, so it was a clean install.

Check out the wall papers I posted, some are really nice, a couple look like they are a artist conception or something like that.

Nice, very pretty.

The one w/ the terraced hillsides looks like someone got creative there.

That is one of the ones I was talking about, it doesn't look quite like a real photo like the others, another one that I am not sure hasn't been touched up or created altogether is the one with the Great Wall, it is hard to tell on the laptop as the display is not all that great.

I acquired the RU_EN version, not a clean one but already converted to English (by the Russians I read).

I checked the setup.exe/ details tab to compare w/ 7077.

MS jumped a lot of build numbers in the 4 days between them :whistle

7077: 4/5/09
7106: 4/9/09
