vista boot manager sees deleted ubuntu os - how do I remove?

Postby PawBear » Wed Nov 19, 2008 4:32 am

Thanks for your help ion advance.

I used wubi to install ubuntu on my vista machine. I used add/remove to delete ubuntu but the boot manager still displays ubuntu as a boot option.

Here's the BCD Registry Settings:

Windows Boot Manager
--------------------
identifier {bootmgr}
device partition=C:
default {current}
resumeobject {c54046f7-4453-11dd-ab5c-806e6f6e6963}
displayorder {775ab9b5-4474-11dd-9796-9b47d57eb91c}
{current}
timeout 10
resume No

Real-mode Boot Sector
---------------------
identifier {775ab9b5-4474-11dd-9796-9b47d57eb91c}
device unknown
path \ubuntu\winboot\wubildr.mbr
description Ubuntu

Windows Boot Loader
-------------------
identifier {current}
device partition=C:
path \Windows\system32\winload.exe
description Windows Vista (TM) Home Premium
osdevice partition=C:
systemroot \Windows
resumeobject {c54046f7-4453-11dd-ab5c-806e6f6e6963}
numproc 4
detecthal No
quietboot Yes
usefirmwarepcisettings No

I'd like to remove the ubuntu entry to avoid the unnecessary boot delay.

Any suggestions?
