Free audio stream software for XP?

Hey all...

I'm looking for some decent freeware to stream audio live. I've played with Windows Media Encoder, but I don't feel that there are enough options (security, scheduling, etc) and I don't like that it doesn't hide in the background (it always remains on the taskbar).

Any opinions would be great!
