Dual boot Vista Ultimate with XP Pro using two hard drives
Hello
Just got our new Vista PC with 160GB SATA drive - all seems to workfine. But want to dual boot to XP hosted on a second hard drive i.e. keep the two environments separate. Will the instructions for dual boot with pre-installed Vista be appropriate?
regards
Steve
Yes they will, with the exception that you won't need to create any partitions. Once you have your second drive fitted and installed, I'd suggest make sure you have your original drive set as your boot hard drive in your BIOS and then boot to Vista and format it from there. A second reboot is always a good idea to make sure the drive/partition configuration is properly taken into your MBR.
