On Saturday afternoon, May 23rd I attended a sold out 100 Monkeys concert at the legendary Khyber in Philadelphia.

The band features Ben Graupner, Jackson Rathbone, Jerad Anderson, and Ben Johnson, all of whom switch up on instruments throughout the show. For example, Rathbone started on drums, moved to guitar, then on to keyboards, back to guitar, and so on. All are excellent singers as well, with Rathbone primarily providing lead vocals.

100 Monkeys went on to play a late night show at the Khyber following this one, and added a third for tonight. Last weekend they'd been at another venue in Philly and left fans reeling. Twilight star Rathbone is in the midst of shooting the latest M. Night Shyamalan film here in Philadelphia, The Last Airbender, so what better way to spend time on off days than to have your band play some gigs in the area?

Fans came from as far away as California for the gig, although most had traveled from points up and down the East Coast. I met some wonderful lades from Baltimore and Allentown, and was thrilled to finally see some folks from Twilight Moms and Twilight Lexicon in person.
