Windows XP & Windows Vista
Windows XP
This is meant to be a simple tutorial on:
1. How to take snapshots on you desktop in Windows XP
2. How to paste them in Paint
3. How to upload to imageshack.us
4. How to post the imageshack code on PROnetworks
____________________________________________________________
1. The first thing you need to do is bring the screen you want to take a snapshot of up, such as the Windows Disk Manager. The shortcut for Disk Manager is: right click on My Computer, click on manage, click on Disk Manager. Maximize the windows for ease of viewing.
Next you will need to press the Print Screen (Prt Scr) button on your keyboard.
2. Then open Paint (Start>Programs>Accessories) and either press "ctrl v" or choose the menu item Edit and choose Paste.
You will now need to save the image to you hard drive. The best option for saving the image will be in a JPEG (JPG) format since it will be smaller in size compared to the BMP format. Choose the menu item File, Save As, and type in the name of the file and choose the JPEG format from the drop down options.
The default save location is usually My Pictures and it's a good idea to make sure you know where the file has been saved to.
3. You will now need to go to imageshack.us and choose you file that you saved and press "host it".
4. Once the file is hosted at imageshack, choose the "Thumbnail for forums (1)" like below and copy the code.
You will now be able to post it at PROnetworks. Once you have typed your message and copy and pasted the imageshack link on the forum reply, you can click on Preview to make sure everything is posted correctly and then press Submit.

Windows Vista
The functionality in Windows Vista works the same way as in Windows XP. You can use Print Screen along with a new program called Snipping Tool.
The snipping tool will allow you to click and drag the image that you want and not the complete picture that is on the screen. If you do not understand the Snipping Tool then the easiest is to just use Print Screen and Paint.

The main thing to remember is to not close the imageshack window until you are sure you are finished with the image or you can copy and paste the link in a text file if you wish to reference back to it.
EDIT: For those that have 10 post or less will not be able to insert links to images within their post. In order for others to view the images you will need to contact a moderator or management of PRONetworks.
