Z-indexes are fine... so WTH is IE doing?
OK, I'm officially confused. I have all my z-indexes working, and I know they are working bc they work in IE and FF (all versions). All my drop down menus show up IN FRONT of the primary image (the big image).
Problem is that when I remove the primary image using the nifty script I found a few weeks ago, the drop down menus for each nav button are suddenly behind my body content again. At first I thought the menus were trying to appear in the same space as the hidden primary image content. But then I removed the code for the primary image and discovered the drop down menus ARE in fact hiding behind the body content.
So if my z-indexes are IDENTICAL for the primary image and body content and are IDENTICAL for the nav bar... why the hell do they disappear behind the body? It ONLY happens in IE (all versions).

It never fails... I post, I figure it out.
The fix was setting a conditional IE statement to make the z-index of the body "-1"
Has to be conditional else FF will completely hide the body. LOL, not very useful.
Did I mention I hate IE?

Glad you confirmed that, I'd forgotten to recheck with IE7. Usually IE6 is the bugger to worry about. When I reformatted I didn't even upgrade to IE7, just so I could keep testing IE6.
