Wrong Welcome Screen

Wrong Welcome Screen

Postby FredL » Tue Nov 24, 2009 12:25 pm

Windows XP is on the first partiton of mij harddisk.
On the second primary partition I installed the new Windows 7 Home Premium OS.
I used your VistaBootPro 3.3 to rename the boot name of XP.
But now the welcome screen during loading of Windows 7 changed to the welcome screen of Windows Vista, although there is no Vista at all on mij computer
I bought your DualBootPro 1.0 which is much better, thanks for that. But the Vista remains

How can I solve this (little) problem

Fred, I found the same issue if I started off with a Vista BCD and the Vista boot system files on the drive/partition tagged System. The only way I got rid of the Vista green bar at startup instead of the four color spectrums coming together of Windows 7, was to completely delete the boot system files and BCD and then reinstall Windows 7.

This is not a result of using DualBootPRO by the way, so I guess you must have had Vista installed on that system in dual boot with XP at some point.
