Technical sessions began after the keynote this morning and continue throughout the day. These are mostly in-depth informational and hands-on labs primarily for hardware manufacturers and driver developers, as well as others who use the Windows Platform in their businesses.

Meanwhile, the Expo Hall is filled with vendor booths and demonstrations of new products and services. This is where attendees get to play with some of the gadgets and try out the scenarios which were shown during the keynote this morning, such as the Vista home networking capabilities. We'll be sure to scout out some cool stuff for you.

Last night, as most were attending the conference opening reception, we had an exclusive private dinner with some top Microsoft staffers. Tonight we have a similar opportunity. While the convention hall hosts an evening get-together for the masses, we will be attending an invitation-only party at Dodgers Stadium, hosted by the Windows Server Division. Billed "an evening of leisure and baseball," press, analysts, and Microsoft spokespeople will be partying it up at The Loge Terrace while the Dodgers take on the St. Louis Cardinals. If past experience tells us anything, you may have a better chance of seeing the game than we will! Watch for our reports later.
