I am digging WHS, it has been performing great for me since my last install ^*^

Trying out the Connector Remote access from the Main Rig I saw & wanted to try out the "Shut Down" button, that works too,
screeny from the Vista desktop.

Do you leave yours running 24x7 :question

I know it's a server built on server 2003 & not a desktop OS, so i suppose its built for running for long periods of time & not needing restarting.
Up to now I've been shutting it down after finishing testing &/or backups, but am rethinking doing that.

I restart mine on Saturdays unless needed otherwise.

I might shut mine down on Saturday for a short while but other than that I leave it running 24/7

This software is turning out to be an awesome piece of OS.

So you are saying if I want to do a restore I will need to find the drivers for my NIC and have it on disk/USB?

Yes/No only if the Restore wizard cannot find the (WHS) Server, that's when you will need the NIC drivers on a flash drive (FD)... that's what worked for me every time.

The ones i used awhile back I saved on a little designated FD & they are still good tonight, so it appears once one saves them they will be good down-the-road for the next restores too.

Here is where one needs to chose 'Install Drivers, during the Restore
Note the USB device = FD
