Windows 7/Vista Boot Problem(Pre-installed 7)
I had Windows XP on my system on C:\. I installed Windows 7 on E:\. Later, I updated Windows XP to Windows Vista Home Premium in C:\. But after installing Vista, when I rebooted I did not see the boot screen. I tried using VistaBootPRO to add Windows 7 into the OS list. But, when I selected the Windows 7, all I saw was a blank screen. Not even any error. After that, I tried <mention of software stolen from PROnet> Now, there is no Boot menu on startup. I'm taken straight to Windows Vista. Should I reinstall Windows XP? PLease help!!!
Thanks.
Re: Windows 7/Vista Boot Problem(Pre-installed 7)
Start VBP and run Diagnostics, the go to the Manage OS Entries page to see what OS's are showing up there, if both Win 7 and Vista are there make note of what Boot drive is showing up for each one (it will be about 3/4 way down on that page.

You could (also) try a Startup Repair using your Windows 7 DVD to fix the boot menu.

It's showing C:\ for Vista and E:\ for W7. But, I dunno why, it's also showing "Earlier version of Windows" in E:\.
Re: Windows 7/Vista Boot Problem(Pre-installed 7)
Use VBP on the "System Bootlaoader" page and place a check "Windows Vista Bootloader (uninstall Legacy bootloader)" and another check in "All Drives"; Then click on install Bootloader button at bottom, or if that doesn't fix it
Try Shreader's suggestion and do a Startup repair with the Windows 7 disk
