Windows 7 Pro stuck in basic mode
Hey guys,
I just reinstalled Windows 7 and chose to do the Pro edition instead of Ultimate. But for some reason windows in stuck in Basic mode (display).
Anyone know how to fix this? I've already updated the drivers.
Thanks
Adam

Yeah, i downloaded it seperately. I installed the x64 edition. Running an Dell Optiplex 745 with a Nvidia FX 5500 card in it. This is my work machine at work.
Ultimate ran fine, but i was running the 32bit version.

Just a few things that might help. I'm not in Windows 7 right now so bear with me
What kind of performance rating are you getting on the GPU?
How much RAM is installed? It should run fine with 1 GB but 2 GB is Microsoft recommended minimum for X64.
Go to Control Panel with the category view and see if there's anywhere that you can change your display settings, monitor refresh rate, themes or visual effects.
Are there any items missing drivers in Device Manager?

Well this was odd...had a memory dump error and it restarted the machine and its back in "normal" mode.
