That would be sweeeeet. You should, and let us know how it goes. I'm personally intrigued.

This AM I tried the OS (Win7) install on a VHD.

1st I tried booting (the DVD) from Windows 7 & received this window

It appears that my Intel CPU doesn't support "Intel Vitalization Technology" so it cannot be enabled in the BIOS AFAICT.

Next (just to be sure) I restarted the PC & booted from the DVD. This time the VHD didn't even show up on the above list

*on a side note: This AM when I started up the PC the VHD had disappeared from the 'Computer' list of drives, but going by going to Disk Management/ Action/ Attach VHD/ browse to file/ OK, I got it back on the list.

I doesn't appear that the Windows 7 PDC build has a completely working VHD creator.
I tried it last night on a 7 x64 install & had the same problems that Rollin describes, except that the PC I tested it on (supposedly) supports Vitalization (see Sig below).

The VHD can be created but it doesn't stay active after a restart & I received the same errors a Rollin when trying to install a OS on it.
