The specifications for W7 x64 are for 2 GB RAM minimum.

There are reports that it can be installed on 1 GB, but it is not recommended, and I have personally experienced issues with attempting to install both Vista and W7 on a low RAM rig -- that setup was not always successful.

Unless you are planning to increase your RAM, I would advise you to install the 32-bit version :yesnod:

I don't think you should have any issues with 1GB, though it may not be quite as responsive as you'd like, depending on what graphical effects you have enabled and what programs you use. I have 32-bit W7 installed on a laptop with 512KB of RAM and it works, but it definitely isn't as responsive.

It will run, it's just a matter of how well it will run. You may not be able to get all of the graphical effects, though I would think you should.

It may or may not run, depending on the machine's other specifications.

Only way to know for sure, is try it :)
