i would think the 9600xt would be better but i haven't looked at either of the two real closely before, so i could be wrong.

If you can manage to unlock all "8 pipes" with a hacked-up BIOS then the 9500 Pro should outperform the 9600XT, otherwise they are quite similar in terms of performance.

The 9500 Pro is just a throttled down and maimed 9700 Pro, they are the same chip. They are throttled down and maiming comes in the form of a different BIOS. If you search around the web you will find BIOS's that turn your 9500 Pro into a 9700 Pro. With all of the features available, the 9500 Pro will outperform the 9600 XT.

The primary purpose of the DATA statement is to give names to constants; instead of referring to pi as 3.141592653589793 at every appearance, the variable PI can be given that value with a DATA statement and used instead of the longer form of the constant. This also simplifies modifying the program, should the value of pi change.

i own a 9600XT and my bro owns a 9500 Pro, LOL, i would say that the 9600XT would be ur best bet because of the better Clock speeds and its a Newer chip than the 9500, the only thing im puzzled on is that i got my 9600XT cheaper than my bros.......hmmmmm, i would still go with a qualilty 9600XT over a 9500Pro, it also looks better on ur Display Window...........

if u r a huge gamer, than chose the 9600XT for te best FPS

Yeah Weaver is right, there are a few hacks out there that will "turn" your 9500 in to a 9700. But 9600XT should have better performance nothing is changed.

If thinking of hacking the 9500 is it true only the ones with ram in L shape rather than straight line will do it? I think that is what I read. Even then not all L cards will do it apparently and those that do sometimes show various errors.
