Whatever happened to...

these pieces of software and/or websites? They once seemingly were king of the internet, and now you hardly hear a thing about them. It makes you wonder what's next to rise and then fall into oblivion. What's really interesting is how many of these were "killed" by Facebook or Google.

Image
Killed by Facebook

Killed by Facebook, Flickr, and other services - even iStockPhoto perhaps?

Killed by Firefox

Image
Not dead by any means (unfortunately), but partially knocked off it's podium by Firefox and Chrome

Image
Killed by iTunes

Image
Killed by Google Talk and Facebook Chat

Image
Ironically, killed by AIM - then AIM killed as noted above.

Image
Killed by Flash Players and soon, HTML5

Image
Killed by JQuery (other than video). Soon to be partially obsolete with HTML5

Image
Killed, for the most part, by Google

So who else can you think of that was huge and then suddenly seemed to vanish?
