I saw it once and all I remember from it was the music, and nothing else.

Wow... watch this and see if it eerily makes sense...

Remember, this was made in 1968... a year BEFORE we went to the moon. :-?

There's a sequel to it too, 2010. And there's 3001 as a book (perhaps as movie too).

When it first came out and I went to see it, I walked out of the theater completely confused. It was only years later whenI watched it again, that it started to make sense.

I read the book last summer. Then I immediately saw the movie after reading the book. I was sorely disappointed. I'm sure there's a lot of deep meaning behind the movie (considering it's a Kubrick film). However, he totally should have titled it something completely different and only referred to it as a very loose interpretation of the book. What really perturbs me however, is that the second book 2010 and 3000 and 3020 (? it's the 4th book but can't remember the numbers), are changed drastically because "everyone" remembers the movie. Apparently he thought that no one read the first book and only saw the movie. How disappointing! :-x
Whenever I see an old lady slip and fall on a wet sidewalk, my first instinct is to laugh. But then I think, what if I was an ant, and she fell on me. Then it wouldn't seem quite so funny.

I've never seen a movie yet that was as good as the book. I love my imagination when i'm reading, and i'm always disappointed when i see the movie of a novel. :(
