The only movie that I can say was true to the book was "Love Story". However, the book was so small, it was easy to do.

I watched 2001 again tonight with my dad. Needless to say it made perfect sense this time, and I think it's probably one of hte most brilliant movies of all time in the Sci Fi World, especially considering it was made in 1968, a year before we went to the moon, and when we and the Soviets were still enemy's, yet in the movie we have become friends... yet nervous friends. Sound familiar?

I remember going to see The Graduate after having read the book. The movie brought out something I hadn`t seen in the book, but I didn`t know what it was. About 8 months later I picked the book up again and discovered that what I saw in the movie had always been in the book. It was humour!

Good one Ian. I really liked that movie when it came out, and it certainly established Dustin Hoffman. :yesnod:
