Ubuntu 9.04 observations

Postby augie on Sun Apr 26, 2009 10:15 am

I'm two frames in so far and going @22min/frame for the same project instead of 25 min. in 8.04 This looks very good at this very early stage. Both cores are nearly pinned as they should be. ^*^

I must be doing something wrong, I can't get Ubuntu 9.04 to get over 25 % CPU usage and a WU that normally takes about 14 minutes or less is taking around 25 minutes.

This is CPU usage with 9.04

This is the usage same WU with 8.04

All I can think of is you missed the -smp flag when you started the fold. I won't be going to VM and 9.04 for a few days just to feel this release out first as I don't want to screw up what's already working just fine on my quad VM. I must be getting good at this as it took me less than 5 minutes to set up F@H, actually closer to 3 and I was taking my time! :()
