Interesting................. based on previous early forecasts, I'd probably wait a bit; these early computer models are notoriously (Especially this year for some reason) innacurrate

I ran all the models yesterday, and the day before, and strangely none of them (maybe one) had picked up on this storm.

ukm seemingly continues to be the most accurate of the models at this point.

NOAA has been WAY off this year so far. I still think we have plenty of storms to come, but their models of what storms will do what have been horrible.

Gee, I've been waiting for this to get to TS so I could post it. I thought I would wake up and it would be a TS but I guess not yet.

Joe Bas-tardi, whose name gets picked up by the censor filter, said he thinks there will be 9 new named storms in the next month. I don't know if he's right but it's looking like two in a week some time here shortly.

Looks like the projected path keeps moving to the North - luckily the gas cans are full, generator's ready, rv is gassed and ready to go. :yesnod:

If it stays on the track they're predicting, NO could be right in the crosshairs again. And this storm could potentially strengthen quite a bit over the gulf.

Katrina was just a year ago this time too.

I saw Max Mayfield on CNN yesterday and he stated that %60 of people don't have any hurricane plans or supplies along the Gulf. What's with that?

It's getting lots of play on CNN. Finally something to push John Karr off the radar. :sick
