Ahhhhh, people, today has been comparatively wonderful. The Delta breeze came in last night and a nice thick marine layer covered all the way inland over Sacramento. It was a little humid today but I doubt if we got above, ta dah - 80

I took this picture in my car from my rearview mirror's display. The temperature displayed is the outside temperature, not the temperature inside the car. The news stations in the area said that with the humidity levels (which were above 80%) gave it a heat index around 115 deg F.

I think we topped off at around 102-104 here yesterday (at least on the USC campus near where I work/live). Heat index was around 112-117 depending on where you were.

Yesterday was quite possibly the hottest day I've ever lived... the humidity kills you. I have been in the desert (death valley) at 116F and it was hot, but it was dry heat. Humidity at 102 feels like it's cooking you slowly.

The cold water from the tap in Columbia, SC is warm to the touch now... seriously. It's weird.

It seems that everywhere I go for the past fifteen days it goes on fire. Last week I was in near by forest helping the firemen put out a huge fire from one of the most beautifull pine forests in Attica , at Rafina where I oftenly go swimming and fishing. Then I went to Preveza and visited Nikopolis and the nearby beach and Aesthetic Forest of Kanali , two days after Kanali and Nikopolis were on fire. This Sunday we were on Alepohori and the nearby forest in the area of Agioi Theodori caught fire. I hate these guys the set fires in forests. Hopefully I will never have one of them in my hands as I will spend many years in prison after I'm finished with him. The fire was helped by the strong northern winds

Anyway the temp here is 36 degrees and yesterday was at about 33. Of course it felt a lot cooler due to the northern winds.

Come to Scotland George, today the temperature was 16C with strong Westerly winds, along with heavy rain showers. At the moment we are getting below seasonal temperatures, and it's not much fun.. :x
