You know, until you stop and pay attention to it, you really just never realize how BIG the Pacific Ocean is. These shots are from Google Earth, both offering interesting views you normally won't see on a wall map or by looking from the Northern Hemisphere.

That's Hawaii right in the middle to the right. North America way over to the upper right. Asia to the far left, and New Zealand and Australia to the lower left.

New Zealand is the only real major country viewable from this angle. South America is viewable to the extreme lower right.
