Spyware

Postby Mac33 on Thu Jan 23, 2003 6:42 pm

I have been looking around for a while for a new anti-spyware software, and i have come across this one at www.spywarenuker.com I have now downloaded it, and although i am not saying anything against AdAware, this new software found spyware that i have never come across using AdAware. You should have a look, i find it very good. :yesnod:

Getting it now as I speak. I'm interested to see what it finds. I tried one from BulletProof and it found things that I'm convinced wasn't spyware.

I think that this may be the same program as Bulletproof includes in it's package. It looks identical with the same interface and the same buttons, ie. Quick Scan, Deep Scan, etc.
I don't remember what they called their spyware scanner, but I would be suprised if it wasn't licensed from this company.

Bob i ran the scan tonight with it, and i found it far better than AdAware. I liked the layout and choices you had with it and its facilities were more than what AdAware offers. :yesnod:

I also like the layout much better, plus the options to do a deep scan. For grins, I'm going to install the Bulletproof program again and see if it's the same.
I uninstalled it only because it had a lot of stuff I didn't want or need.

Bob i like the deep scan facility as it offers a complete scan of your computer. I would like to know how you get on with that other spyware prog. and if you can give me any comparisons you see, i would appreciate that.
    all the best :yesnod:

Mac, if you get a chance and would like to look at it. Go to their link below and try Bulletproof's Spyware/Adaware remover 5.0. It looks identical to the other program. The price is also $29.

    hi

please don't take this wrong, I know you stated that you wasn't putting AdWare down, but just thought I would be objective here (hope that is ok) and say that AdWare is aware (hehe, a rhyme) that there current ver. is outdated and not up to par. They have stated that the newer (completely rewritten) ver. will be all it needs to be and all the user could want / hope for.

just thought I would add that

BTW: I am dl'ing this pgm now Mac, u have my curiosity up. :)
