I voted digital ALL THE WAY!!!

Compare the scenarios and there is no doubt on which way to go........

You buy a 3/5 pack of 35mm film, spending xx$$ depending on the speed of the film, brand and such

Now you buy a digital camera, invest an extra $100 perhaps on a 512MB or even a 1GB memory card/stick, and you'll NEVER buy film EVER AGAIN

Got some "bad shots"?? Toss em and try again (After you buy more film) with a regular camera

Got some more bad shots with a digital camera? On the fly delete the bad ones and get back to taking pictures!! At least until your battery dies...........

IMO film has a feel and clarity that cannot be beat (still at this point) by digital, there is just something about a continuous tone photo, a richness, a quality that digital just does not have. In my opinion I doubt that digital will ever reach that level. Not to say that digital isn

I cannot speak for the "professionals" and what they use vs. quality of digital imaging.......... although I do know that several professional (Or so they claim) studios use digital image photography for their photo sessions these days. I think all the big stores (Sears, Walmart, JCpenny.......) are using digital imaging for their studios, and we even went to an "outside" professional studio for last our Christmas shots. Aside from the typical long wait....................... the photographer was pretty adept at using the camera and editing on the fly during our shoot.

You are absolutely correct, many pros use digital, we were using digital before I moved from the photography arena to the IT realm of things. Hey our studio had a digital camera, purchased in 1994, for the measly price $250,000 (the CCD chip was 100 grand it
