snow day

Postby branbo on Tue Feb 11, 2003 3:39 pm

it snowed all nite, we have 3 ft of new snow and drifts in eastern canada , all the schools are closed, i can't get down the street to go to work oh, shoveled the drive way and even did housework, my bro is coming over with his big truck and skis, if we can't go to work at least we can check out some powder, the joys of a day off.

3 FEET?!?!?!?!? :-?

We can't even get 3 inches, lol.

For the record though... yesterday was the midpoint in South Carolina's largest three day snow fall ever back in 1973 when we recieved over 2 feet 8 inches. Of course I wasn't even "thought of" at that time... so the biggest snow I've seen in my life was in '88 and then again last year when we got 13 inches.

That's all at home of course... In Alaska I saw snow falls in certain places taller than my house, and it was mid July.

I miss those days when I was a kid. :hmmm:

...wake up to the city snow siren going off, listen to Z100 for the school closings, go back to sleep, wake up later, watch cartoons, play Mike Tyson's PunchOut on Nintendo, go outside to play in the snow with my friends, come home to play more Nintendo, eat dinner, go out to play in the snow in the dark, lay in the snow in the dark to watch it fall all around me, thinking how relaxing and cool it was to have an extra day off and then to think....OH CRAP! I FORGOT I HAD HOMEWORK I NEEDED TO DO!!!! :)
