Setting up Win7 and XP OS on 2 separate HDDs using BD Pro

Postby madbad » Mon Aug 02, 2010 11:47 am

Before buying Dual Boot Pro, I wish to clarify whether your software is the correct product to do the following..

I want to instal OS Win7 64bit on a 60GB SSD HD and want to install OS Win Xp Pro 32bit on a separate HD, a 1TB Samsung F103J HD

I will be using a Gigabyte P55-UD6 Motherboard - Intel i5 750 CPU
It has x6 Intel SATA/RAID/AHCI ports and 4 Gigabyte (JS) SATA/RAID/AHCI ports
I will also be attaching 1x SATA BHDVD & 1 x SATA DVDRW
PLus 1 TB Samsung F103J HD as a DATA drive for use by Win7

I want to be able to boot from either the Win7 HD or the XP HD and have access to both DVD drives and the 1TB Data Drive.

Is this possible with the software, if so, is there a particular installation sequence that needs to be followed?
Is there anything that needs to be backed up a special way in case of having to 'recover data' in the event of drive failure / corruption?

Any advice would be helpful.
