Me and my dad are having problems with our 2001 Sea-Doo Challenger 2000.

We cant seem to find the place where you drain the Jet Drive Oil. Its a Mercury 2-cycle v6 engine with Mercury m2 jet drive. We bought the boat used and the guy couldn't find any of the books that came with the boat. So my question is: If you know where it is, could you tell me and if possible show a pic. and circle the spot. Thanks.

I don't know about your boat, and I can't remember where the online IPB for watercraft is, but on mine if you look in the output jet (from the rear of the boat of course) you see the impeller and tailcone, there is a screw in the tail cone that allows you to drain and fill. you may have to take a part off to get to it though. (you should be able to see the screw without taking it apart though.)

Your saying its around the Jet nozzle, right?

I took a look and I found a set screw and I think It might be it. But It is hard to reach so I dont know how to fill of drain it.

mine is a seadoo jetski, yes that's probably the right screw.

The little drops mean "Oil here" right?

And the number is the type of oil?

What type of oil do you use for your gearbox.

#30 is locktite
#29 is the synthetic jet pump lube.

I use seadoo jet pump lube.

Oh, Then what would the big set scerw on the top roght of the main unit be?

without seeing your unit I have no idea. I would suggest getting a repair manual. can get them off of ebay fairly cheap. or at local shop. If you go to your local shop to purchase the jetpump oil, I'm sure they could print you out a picture of your unit similar to the one I had. I have found most repairs to my skis fairly easy and a lot cheaper if I do them myself. just follow the manual, and read all steps before starting..sometimes they sneak the ..oh and you should have already taken part XXX off.... save yourself som trouble and make sure you use locktite where needed when reinstalling. another thing to remeber if you have never worked on boats, especially ones that have been in salt water. the bolts will corrode some making them hard to remove. get yourself some PB Blaster or other stuck bolt stuff, don't just put all your weight behind it, spray it, let it set, pull on it, lightly tap the haed some and pull some more..you don't want to break the bolt then have to drill and tap...

Ok, Well my dad ordered a sea-doo service dvd on ebay. That might cover the jet pump too.
