Reinstalled XP, lost bootloader

Drive 1, XP
Drive 2, Vista, Win 7(separate partition)

Reformatted XP and lost bootloader. Booted Vista dvd, repaired startup, now only have Vista option.
All files are accessible on drives.

I'm ready to start drinking heavily, please help. Thank you.

The guide below will help ya out.

Dual Boot Trouble Shooting Guide / Vista Running

Be sure to check out the NEW DualBootPro

The Guide uses VistaBootPro but the DualBootPro will do the same as VistaBootPro. I have not had time to rewrite the Guide yet.

Tried that but now i have no bootloader it just boots to Vista. Originally I had XP installed first, then Vista, then Win 7. Here's a copy of my boot.ini from Vista

[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect

comp mngmt
c: vista
D: XP
G: win 7

The three file, NTDETECT, ntldr, and boot.ini need to be on the root of drive C:\

The rdisk(0) needs to be rdisk(1) [both intances] in your boot.ini

You can then add Legacy OS in VistaBootPro or DualBootPro to point to drive D: for the boot of Windows XP.
Also add OS to point to drive G for Windows 7

The three files are on the root of C.
So I should edit boot.ini on my C drive as such?

[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect
