Reinstalled XP and lost boot to Windows 7
Hi All,
I run Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit and have a 32 Bit version of Windows XP Home. I had initially installed Windows 7 on a system already running XP, and the dual-boot options, as expected, worked fine. But then I decided to clean install Windows XP to alleviate some issues that had arrisen over four years of using it. All indications said that although I would lose the ability to boot Windows 7, all I would need to do is use Dual Boot Pro, or Vista Boot Pro, to fix the problem. So that's what I did - but Dual Boot Pro did not fix the problem. I still cannot boot into Windows 7, it gives me no boot window. So I have basically spent $10 to achieve nothing, and am leaning towards simply re-enstalling Windows 7 with a format.
Is this problem common? The only other thing I did was try a 'Repair Install' on Windows 7 that apparently 'repaired' the boot system, but (obviously) didn't.
Please advise.

Re: Dual Boot Pro did not work
See Install Windows XP in Dual Boot with Pre-Installed Windows 7 and also Dual Boot Trouble Shooting Guide - XP / Windows 7 Running for some ideas on how to fix your problem.
By reformatting and reinstalling XP you have probably removed the boot system files for Windows 7.
