I buy refurbed computers. I have also installed a referbed mobo, with no probs. unknowndarknessx is right, if you get a good warrenty, its a great idea.

I definitely will make sure I get a good warrenty with whatever board I choose as you said. I figure you can never get enough og a good thing I am going to call ASUS and see if I can maybe buy a refurbished board straight from them instead of doing it from a vendor online. If not I will guess I will research whomever I choose to get it from and make sure they are reputable.
Thanks for all the input into this hopefully I will have my new system soon.

Not one to normally contradict others, (no harm intended Weaver), BUT. . .I've had bad luck with ASUS specifically on a refurb board. I bought new the P4B533 board and my AGP slot stopped working, got the RMA and sent to Asus promptly! Got the new board and within 2 months, the PS2 slots (both mouse and keyboard) went out also. I don't know if it was a poor design with that particular board, the QA involved with it or if someone had a bad day at the soldiering inspections. . .I've moved personally on to Soyo. My only problems with Soyo have been self-induced. . . . just my 2
Check out New Egg for the refurb boards...they have good prices on them. I've known people that have gotten refurb boards and some were complete, cables, manual and others just arrived the bare board.

usually if you get them in computer fairs they seller would just give you all the extras from another spare board or something.

We have a big computer fair here every sunday called The Sunday Computer Markets You can buy almost anything that is computer related there and it draws a big crowd. I mean this market is huge, and you always get a bargin because the merchants are hardly making much from the sales (usually about $15 profit on average per item sold) and you can usually get item for less with bulk buying.
