Purge Online
The RPG and FPS hybrid enters the latter stages of beta testing.
Thanks to the Lithtech Talon engine, Purge Online is looking rather exciting, packed as it is with crackling magic and blazing weapons. But what looks far more exciting is how it's blending first-person shooter and role-playing dynamics into a single online action game.
Purge Online pits two far-future sides, The Order (science) and The Chosen(Magic), against each other across a series of maps. The two sides are diametrically opposed and equal in power, but their talents vary widely. There are four classes for each side, each one defining a player's attributes and what he or she can do in-game.
Time spent fighting on a map will pump your stats, and while you remain alive you gain levels and increase your veteran status. If you die, or load another map, the skills are zeroed for the new round. Exciting stuff.
