Now Roy Buchanan is a good guitarist, but his stuff is a bit too bluesy for my taste. BB King on the other hand (how blue can you get?), is a different story altogether - a legend in his own time too, and I really like some of his stuff. Just listen to this and here with Clapton and Jeff Beck ^*^

Hehe, I was just listening to Jeff Beck's album 'Jeff'. Some really hard blues there. Ya, BB King is great on those along with his 'sidemen'. ^*^

Oh, BTW Graham, it's all opinion here, I hope you didn't take my statement the wrong way.

I don't have link to any of her stuff, but Nancy Wilson has to be my favorite. She can do it all, Jazz, Blues, Cabaret and Pop.

And she is much more pleasent to look at then any of the aforementioned artist's :yesnod: ^*^

The Allman Brothers Band has also long been favorites of mine :yesnod:

Their music is generally regarded as rock but there's a distinctive blues element to it too.

I've installed YouTube Downloader and think it's really great being able to put together a collection of these music videos using it ^*^

It's also useful downloading the FFDShow Mpeg4 codecs. I find it allows me to play the video in Nero Show Time or Windows Media Player :yesnod:

Yes on Allman Bros Graham, I believe the term is Texas Blues. ^*^ My fave is Whipping Post

And now for something completely different. :P

Michel Petrucciani, most have not probably heard of him, but he is a giant amongst piano players and I'm being serious here. It's really too bad he was taken from us at such a young age, though his discography is extensive. I hope ya'll like jazz that sears your brain. :) Here is a tune with him on piano, Peacock on bass and Roy Haynes on drums. It's called One for Us. I laughed and cried at the same time. I hope ya'll enjoy it as much as I do.

Here's a homeboy who I've seen live many times in Montreal and has been around since I started listening to jazz in the early 70's though he's been around since the fifties. This one really tickles the ivories!

Oscar Peterson-piano
Joe Pass-guitar

Cakewalk

Here's another great one.

Oscar Peterson and Keith Emerson (ELO)

Honky Tonky Train Blues

I was at this concert and this doesn't even begin to do him justice to his art! Wynton Marsalis I just love the way he transitions from a muted horn to full born mayhem. Outstanding! ^*^ Oh, this is only for people who love his head banging music. Enjoy.:)

BTW, he is a double Grammy winner in both Jazz and Classical trumpet, the only one so far. Here's Haydn Trumpet Concerto in Eb 1st Mov for those who like the music.
