program will not boot to XP pro 64 bit on second hard drive
After entering the legacy OS (XP Pro 64) (All ready installed on the first HD)
and seeing the possible OS in the boot screen I select the XP OS (I have already copied the boot files from XP to the C: of win 7 and receive the error
windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt (system 32\ntoskrnl.exe)
My XP OS starts correctly when I change my bios to boot to XP
There is no definitive user manual to answer these types of questions
These issues must be clearly defined (only drive letters would be different)
Please Help If you can
Thanks
Re: program will not boot to XP pro 64 bit on second hard drive
In what order did you install the operating system, e.g. XP first and then Windows 7 or did you have Windows 7 pre-installed and then added a second Harddrive, unplugged the original harddrive with Windows 7 on it and then installed XP, or what was the procedure that you used?
