problem with boot menu..

problem with boot menu..

ok i'm new here.. and my problem sounds like this! i had a windows xp media center installed in my computer, than i tryied to innstal a xp pro.. but the setup never worked. ok so i decided to instal windows vista ultimate.. and i have deleted all other windows, and i choose fresh install.. but the problem is that everytime i restart or turn on my computer i always get a boot menu? so i have to choose what windows i want to run? how do i get rid of this boot menu? i want my computer to always boot up in windows vista!! i hate this boot menu.. all of these windows were on C: drive, and i deleted windows.old folder that was after i innstalled vista. :-x

i'm from iceland so i hope you understand my english.

Download VistaBootPro

Install

Run it and delete the Legacy OS from the boot menu.

And Welcome to PROnetworks siggi h!! Also you might enter a 0 (ZERO) in the time for boot delay, but NT50's solution should keep the boot menu from coming up at all. Enjoy the site!

i did that and NOW I HAVE A BIIIIG PROBLEM!!!! i restarted to see if it had worked.. but now my computer only boots up IN WINDOWS SETUP MODE!!! i cant get in my computer.. im on my mom's computer now.. i cant belive i have to format and do this all over again!

this setup mode has been since i tried to install XP PRO, but it wasn't in the Manage OS.. what can i do? the boot menu is gone but the computer only boots up to Windows XP Pro Setup mode???

I don't know what you deleted, but you should be able to get Vista back by booting the Vista DVD; when you get the "Install Now" screen, just select the "Fix my computer" option down at the lower left

i only deleted windows xp.. that was in the manage os, it seems that this setup mode wasn't there.. always when i booted my computer it was these three option i could choos from

Windows Erlier versions
Windows Vista
Windows XP PRO <-- but i never installed it, if i choosed that one it would only take me right to the XP Setup mode?

Try booting the Vista DVD to the Startup repair
