PRO to switch??
is Pronetworks going to switch to phpBB3 (Olympus) once its released and the bugs are worked out?????
i ask as i kinda like the new features and layout..
i have two forums that i manage one is BB2 and the other my friend wanted to test BB3 and both are on the same content but the BB3 gets more hits...
idk why it gets more hits, because its the same content and people.
JW.
Yes, as soon as we port our mods and get the forum up and working qwith the news and all of that, we will be on phpBB3. I think most of the people who are in charge of the display of the forums on the index just cant wait till we get subforums... lol

We will switch, but it'll be a long process most likely. Our technician has limited time currently and we have a lot of custom scripts to update. But we've already started testing the early versions of it.

there is a mod for phpbb2 to add subforums, i just added it, i am actually having a problem with the attachments mod. so.. idk...
its good to hear that PRo will be using BB3... i have been looking into how i am going to update my private forum from BB2 to BB3 and keep the content, as of right now there is no upgrade option.
are there any ideas when PHP 6 will b out, and mysql 6??

We used the version 2 mod, but our traffic made the mod a horrid burden on our server at the time. Even now a heavy load would cripple it. The mod isn't "clean" enough to keep server processes low. A smaller board can handle it. I used it on my other sites for a time with no problems. But PRO is too large for an unofficial mod of that magnitude.
