Posting image thumbnails

Postby ar1stotle on Sun Feb 11, 2007 4:52 pm

OK, I originally wrote this guide for staff who wanted to resize images here on Pro, but this also applies to anyone who wants to save us time and post thumbnails in the first place. No matter which way you upload images to your imageshack account, it will allow you to post forum thumbnails.

Beginner's guide to resizing images:

1. If you don't already have an account on Imageshack, head over there and register.

2. Download the Imageshack Toolbar, which integrates perfectly into IE and Firefox.

3. Find the picture you want to resize. Right click the image and click "Upload image to Imageshack".

4. Once the upload is completed, you'll see a webpage with several links.

5. Edit the post with the large image, and replace the image reference with the one Imageshack lists for Foum Thumbnails.

6. Submit, DONE!

So you don't have to download anything to your hard drive or really spend any time doing anything. Just right click, upload, and post the thumbnail code.
