Computer Security 101
I've just started this mini course and found it extremely informative in describing the internet, acronyms and the how's and why's, in a very down to earth manner. Anyone can get a general idea of the inner workings. It follows each section with a quiz and after you finish all 10, there is a final exam.
Seeing the recent spate with Blaster and other nasties and the internet gurus bracing for many more attacks, I think a rudimentary understanding of the principles involved will keep us relatively safer.
BTW, it is free.

One thing I found on page 1 for lesson 1, the definition for host brings you to a current news page instead of a definition. Strange that it is 5 days later and the link is still not fixed. I'll e-mail him.

Hi, I signed up and went through all those definitions plus took the 10 question quiz at end of lesson. I didn't have any problems and the definition of host was just that a definition. Didn't take me to any other web page. Don't know why you're having problems.
