Spybot not marking gator for deletion

Spybot not marking gator for deletion

Postby Joni » Mon Aug 18, 2003 10:45 pm

question, when I run spybot it doesn't mark gator for removal but when I watch the list of programs that spybot is searching on the bottom left of the screen it shows gator. Should I also dl ad-aware. Does it hurt to have both spybot and ad-aware on same pc? :confused

EDIT:Joni, split topic for clarity. You can edit header if you like. augie

First of all, you can have both adaware and spybot. Last year I used to run both since one found things that the other didn't. Now ad-aware is getting so much better that spybot often comes back clean. For gator mark it manually. Anyway, since your on broadband you may as well grab adaware at http://www.lavasoft.de/support/download/ . strange that spybot didn't mark gator. Do an online update, maybe a new variant. Also on adaware don't forget to do an online update. Adaware is very easy to use. Good luck.

Augie to the rescue once more. Checked out your link on ad-aware and which place do I download it from, also what version? I just clicked on plain ad-aware 3rd one down on left side of page. :()
