Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 19033

Hello Windows Insiders, today we’re releasing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 19033 (20H1) to Windows Insiders in BOTH the Fast ring and Slow ring.

NOTE: We are looking to begin releasing new builds from our development branch. This means we will be releasing builds to Insiders in the Fast ring from the RS_PRERELEASE development branch again instead of the VB_RELEASE branch. This also means the desktop watermark will be returning with these builds. As is normal with pre-release builds, these builds may contain bugs and be less stable. Now is the time to check your Windows Insider Settings and switch to the Slow ring before if you wish to remain on 20H1.

For Insiders in the Fast ring who have selected to stop getting Insider Preview builds when the next major release of Windows 10 is available under Windows Insider Settings, we will be moving you to the Slow ring as part of honoring this setting. You will remain here until 20H1 is finalized. This only applies to Insiders in the Fast ring who selected this.

Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 19035

Hello Windows Insiders, today we’re releasing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 19035 (20H1) to Windows Insiders in BOTH the Fast ring and Slow rings.

The build watermark at the lower right-hand corner of the desktop is no longer present in this build. This doesn’t mean we’re done…

*No watermark, no time-bomb

From ZDNet:

It's early 2020, and Microsoft is getting ready to release ... Windows 10 version 2004? No, that's not a typo, and no, we have not passed through some weird time warp to the previous decade.

Microsoft's next Windows 10 feature update follows the same yymm naming syntax as its predecessors (versions 1809, 1903, 1909, and so on). Version 2004 is scheduled for general release in April 2020 (yy=20, mm=04), making the confusing name inevitable. And let's not even talk about the even more baffling version 2010, which will arrive in the second half of 2020.

Confusing names aside, this feature update has a lot to recommend it. Under the new Windows Update rules, version 2004 will be optional on a PC that's already running either of the 2019 feature updates. (For details, see "When will you get the next version of Windows 10? Here's how to take control.")

Version 2004, formerly known as version 20H1, has been available in a preview release for a long, long time -- nearly a full year. It's been feature complete since Dec. 10, 2019. You can install a preview release by joining the Windows 10 Insider Slow ring and then choosing the Stop Getting Preview Builds option, as shown here.

Windows 10, version 2004 and Windows Server, version 2004

Current status as of June 16, 2020
Windows 10, version 2004 is available for users with devices running Windows 10, versions 1903 and 1909, who manually seek to “Check for updates” via Windows Update. We are continuing our phased approach on initial availability, as we listen, learn, and adjust. Today we are slowly beginning the training of our machine learning (ML) based process used to intelligently select and automatically update devices approaching end of service. The recommended servicing status is Semi-Annual Channel.
