Today at 10:00 AM PT Microsoft provided a new Redstone 4 Evaluation build to insiders on the Fast ring, this one is Build 17123.1

*this is a kind-of exciting new item:
Introducing High Efficiency Image File Format (HEIF) in Windows 10

The High Efficiency Image File Format (HEIF) has arrived for Windows 10 and the Photos app! HEIF is an image container that leverages modern codecs like HEVC to improve quality, compression, and capabilities compared to earlier formats like JPEG, GIF, and PNG. In addition to traditional single images, HEIF supports encoding image sequences, image collections, auxiliary images like alpha or depth maps, live images & video, audio, and HDR for greater contrast.

Today at 10:00 AM PT Microsoft provided a new Redstone 4 Preview build to insiders on the Fast ring, this one is Build 17128.1

On Build 17128, you will notice that the watermark at the lower right-hand corner of the desktop has disappeared. This does not mean this is the final build as we are not done yet. We’re just now beginning the phase of checking in final code to prepare for the final release. The only difference between this build and Build 17127 from Tuesday is the removal of the watermark. However, we’ve got more fixes being checked in for the next flight.

Today the Windows April 2018 update (v1803) RTMed, the General Availability (GA) probably next Monday.

I used the Microsoft Media Creation Tool to snag 3 copies, all ISOs (both combined, x86 & x64).
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/softwar ... /windows10

both: Size: 6.12 GB (6,572,015,616 bytes)
X86: Size: 2.61 GB (2,811,822,080 bytes)
x64: Size: 3.46 GB (3,720,216,576 bytes)

CU's have already been released for this one, the 1 I noticed increases the build # a tad, naturally one has to install v1803 first.
One can wait for the GA & use WU.

I'm a tad cautious so I am going to just install this update on my Hyper-V copy instead of a PC w/ real hardware & wait awhile before adding it to a PC.

So far I have had 2 good experiences & 1 BAD experience w/ this new Redstone 4 release.
The BAD was really bad, luckily I dual boot.

Has anyone else had any good/bad experiences w/ this final (GA) version.
