Re: Windows 10 – New information
We have a leak, instead of a DL from MS.
This one is probably from a MS Partner that got-it & leaked-it
Its build 9888 & AFAICT is only in x64 flavor but it does have the new NT10 kernel version.
BuildLabEx: 9888.0.amd64fre.fbl_release.141113-2137 (c/p)

Re: Windows 10 – New information
Hmm maybe that's what happened to my W7 update on a SSD I have it on.
After the last 2 updates & restart the PC & OS blue-screened & never would boot again. I don't know what update it was but luckily I just backed-up w/ WHS2011 last weekend & restoring that drive was a cinch.
No more WU updates for the SSD I decided.

Re: Windows 10 – New information
Last week Windows 10 build 9901 x64 leaked online, I snagged a copy of the .iso & installed on a VM using a non-MS account name & PW.
After the install I looked around & tested it a bit for what is new.
Today I found that one can get Cortana working after changing their account to a MS account & agreeing to several requests from her.
NTS, I have not had any hick-ups w/ this build, in a VMware install one has to change their "Firmware" choice from BIOS to EFI.
Waiting for the Consumer Preview build (if that's what they will call it) in January.
