That is what is recommended if one wants to dual boot & is having some problems.
Try it, its easy to change back.
Mine is set that way.

i just read that for ultimate compatibility intel recommends Raid mode.
I tried raid mode all I still have is an option of booting only from the harddrive.
Occasionaly i get booting options for the devices but only pops up occasionaly
I really dont understand why am struggling to get an option of more than one device to boot from.
hard disk drive is the only option i seem to be getting

I don't use Raid, prefer not to cause unnecessary problems or make my life more complicated.
It's your choice though.

Did you ever sort out the boot menu?
If you are still only showing 1 of the OSs that you successfully installed?
You might try a Startup repair.
Take your Windows 7 DVD put it in the DVD drive & restart your PC, boot to the DVD drive & do a startup repair, you may have to run this twice.

You have 2 choices then.
Set the BIOS back & try again
or
Leave it as is.
*Note: mine works fine in IDE mode.
I wonder if (your) changing the to RAID mode goofed-up anything.
Contact your Laptop manufacturer to see why the DVD & USB dont show-up in the hardware menu.
