my brother in law asked me this, is there some way to do this???

sounds illegal to me

Dan is there a system that could funnel all incoming and out going emails through my outlook.to monitor emails to my ex employees from clients

Well, this would have to be setup on the exchange server if that is what the company is using. That would simply be a matter of email forwarding or giving him permissions to view the ex-employee email box. However, most companies will auto-forward emails when an address is no longer in use. It becomes illegal only if he is unauthorized to configure the server to do so.

ok got more info,

He owns an Allstate office, and what allstates IT has been doing is just closing the ex employee account, so if a client would send an email after the employee is gone, it would take a while for client to realize it wasn't being responded to and possibly making client upset.
He is going to contact Allstate IT to see if they may forward email from now on for like a few months, then maybe close the email account of ex employee

Oh yea, they definitely need to be forwarding those emails. Or even have an auto-reply setup giving the new email address. In fact, the best method would be to have an organizational box setup and add/remove employees; that way when an email is sent from an employee, it is sent from the org box and not from an individuals company address. No prob.
