will 4GB DDR2 MEMORY RAM PC2-5300 ECC compatible on my pc
Hi I want to know will this ECC DDR2 RAM comptible with my desktop pc (4GB DDR2 MEMORY RAM PC2-5300 ECC ), my desktop motherboard is Asus M2N-E 64-Bit system
Re: will 4GB DDR2 MEMORY RAM PC2-5300 ECC compatible on my pc
Looking at the board's specs surprisingly it does support ECC chips. Check the QVL lists at ASUS to make sure that what you want to install is approved by them. I can't tell anything from here as you didn't supply make/model info.

You need a 64-bit OS to read anything more than about 3.2 gigs of RAM. Wasted some money there I'm afraid.are all abbove working compatible coz my bios detects 5Gb but xp sp3 32 bit doesnt !

Re: will 4GB DDR2 MEMORY RAM PC2-5300 ECC compatible on my pc
well I already had those 1GB DDR 2 RAM sticks i recently purchased 2GB DDR2 Corsair RAM .. so ifi install 64 bit , what would be limit then , coz that would explain the point of getting 4GB DDR2 RAM stick to upgrade
Re: will 4GB DDR2 MEMORY RAM PC2-5300 ECC compatible on my pc
I believe the limit for x64 is 128 gigs, no worries there man.DEVILSAN wrote:well I already had those 1GB DDR 2 RAM sticks i recently purchased 2GB DDR2 Corsair RAM .. so ifi install 64 bit , what would be limit then , coz that would explain the point of getting 4GB DDR2 RAM stick to upgrade
