How to delete ramdisk options
I ran a diagnostic on dual boot pro in Windows Seven and now besides getting the different names of the windows installed at boot-up[XP, Vista, and Seven] also get the ramdisk options. This is a bit annoying how to get rid of ramdisk options at startup?
Re: How to delete ramdisk options
You could try using your windows 7 DVD & doing a Start-up repair.

Re: How to delete ramdisk options
What shreader is suggesting should work, but you can also try running the following command from the command prompt in Windows 7. To get to the command prompt , type CMD on the start menu and then when the command prompt appears, right click it and select "Run as administrator".
In the command prompt type:
bcdedit /enum all and press Enter
Browse down the list until you get to find ramdisk listed as a device.
Copy the identifier which will look something like this {fe54c02d-622g-23e9-9871-2ac00453bb2d} by right clicking near by it and select Mark, the drag the mouse pointer over the identifier you want to copy. It copies when you mark it.
Next, at the command prompt type the following command:
bcdedit /delete {fe54c02d-622g-23e9-9871-2ac00453bb2d} (paste the identifier you marked - do not use the one I have made up here as its just a make believe one). Press Enter on your keyboard.
It is likely that you have more than one ramdisk listed and after a reboot, if the command still appears in the boot menu, you will need to do the same as above for the others that are listed.
It is best to try shreaders suggestion first though, because the command I gave you will permanently delete the ramdisk option.

Re: How to delete ramdisk options
I did what gravity suggested I opened at elevated command prompt bcdedit /enum all and located the ramdisk listed as a device and deleted the entry by using bcdedit /delete. I had to use bcdedit /delete twice to get rid of two ramdisk options. Thank you gravity very much for the post. This is slightly technical ramdisk option should come in the the dual pro and provision should be there to delete it. That will make it a bit simpler.
Now the ramdisk option has gone from the bootup there is another option which is coming at boot up after I ran the diagnostic in dual pro in Windows Seven that is the option of Windows Recovery Environment. How to delete that?

Re: How to delete ramdisk options
I cannot see the identifier for Windows Recovery Environment . I cannot attach files more than 256 kb or so otherwise I would have had sent you the snap shot of my CMD
Re: How to delete ramdisk options
Does the entry for the Windows RE show up in DualBootPRO on the Operating Systems page? If so, high light it and then click on the red delete button on the right.
You can use imageshack.us or photobucket to post a screen shot too - just copy the forum thumbnail that's provided and paste it here. There's no restriction on image size at either of those.

Re: How to delete ramdisk options
Windows Recovery Environment does not show up in the the Dual pro software. Any how I have managed to resize the screen shots of my CMD which I am attaching.
I hope that you will be in a position to tell me where the Windows Recovery Environment is

Re: How to delete ramdisk options
That in the screen shots doesn't look to me like all the information in the BCD. In Windows 7, open DualBootPRO and go to the Boot Information page, check All and then copy and paste the entire text which appears there, here so that we can see it.
It seems you have a rather corrupt BCD with all sorts of entries in it from previous attempts to recover an installation. Oh and do not run diagnostics again whatever you do...In more than 6 years of using first VistaBootPRO and then DualBootPRO on hundreds of dual boot setups I have never yet found it necessary to do so.
Don't give up yet salem586, we've still got quite a few arrows in our quiver.
